RADIAURA SKIN CARE

There for you every step of the way

“In addition to helping improve the health of my patients, my greatest goal as a doctor is for my patients to feel seen. Over the years I’ve seen how each person manages their skin care uniquely during the cancer treatment process. Even if receiving the same radiation dose for a certain cancer diagnosis, for example, each patient has a different experience with skin side effects, since their unique genetics and environment play a role. My hope is that Radiaura Dermocosmetics will be a resource for the variety of unique skin care needs during the cancer treatment process, and that the suggested skin care regimens can help provide support and guidance.” ~ Dr. Lauren Lukas

We know how overwhelming it can be from the moment of a cancer diagnosis and to have concerns over what will happen to your body through all the stages of treatment. We also sympathize with the long-term care needed for cancers that affect the skin. We are committed to improving the lives of our clients by combining knowledge from both the medical and cosmetic industries.

Skin effects can occur with any type of cancer treatment or from cancers that affect the skin, resulting in burning, redness, and itching as well as long-term effects of hyperpigmentation and scarring. We curated this line of dermocosmetic products based on extensive experience in the field of oncology to help bring relief, restoration, and rejuvenation. Dermocosmetics are cosmetic products, not medicines, that can help moisturize, soothe, and improve the texture and brighten the appearance of the skin. Improving skin dryness can help reduce redness and itching. Quality of life and body image are important aspects of cancer care, and Radiaura Dermocosmetics seeks to help soothe the physical effects of cancer and cancer treatment to celebrate life and self-acceptance.

This is what prompted Dr. Lauren Lukas, MD, a radiation oncologist with extensive experience managing treatment-related skin effects for both solid and hematologic malignancies, to curate a new line of products to care for the skin effects of cancer treatment and impact the long-term cosmetic outcome of the skin. She is a board-certified Radiation Oncologist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology at a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Your feedback and reviews are valuable to us, so we can best serve our clients, and we are listening. Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and we hope to provide support for your story!
